7 Most Common Myths About Weight Loss

Today I am going to tell you about some foods which you think are not good when you are trying to loose weight but actually they are. There are so many websites that suggests you many easy ways to loose weight, but the fact is most of them are not even proven. There are lots of myths and misconceptions about these foods.  

Always remember there are no magic foods or ways that can help you in loosing weight quickly. The best way to loose weight is by making small changes in eating habits and regular exercise. This will give you long lasting success and will lead to good health and mental wellness. 


Cheese


Like everyone I too Love Cheese in my food, specially "Parmesan cheese". There are thousands of varieties of cheese available in the market with different amount of calories and percentage of fat. A research says that mayonnaise is higher in fat and calories as compare to cheese. In fact  in American diet, cheese is the number two source of dietary calcium. One tablespoon of Parmesan cheese contains only 21 calories and has less then 1.5 grams of fat + 90 milligrams of sodium.
You can consume cheese but keep an eye on calories it contains and how much you are consuming.  



Cranberry Juice


We think that cranberry contains high calories and not good for weight loss but  cranberry juice is excellent source of antioxidant, its less sweet and acidic than other citrus juice and can easy mix with other beverages in many ways. We can take a glass of cranberry juice before breakfast. Make sure you never skip your breakfast for fast result, In fact starving yourself in morning usually leads to eating more calories allover. Having a glass full of cranberry juice helps you eat less calories and make your stomach full.Also cranberry juice is good for "Urinary Tract Infection".



White Rice




Rice is not the healthier choice when you are planning to loss weight, but any thing taken in the right quantity is not bad. Anything eaten in moderation is good for you. 30-50 grams of rice contain 103 calories which is low enough to fit in your diet chat and instead of white rice eat brown rice. 


Corn




Corn is well known for reducing the cholesterol level and also give good health to our heart. Corn is a low fat complex carbohydrate therefore we must add this to our diet chart. You can intake corn in various ways such as like:-

  • Boiled corn    
  • Corn Salad
  • Corn Bhell
  • Corn Fried with Coconut..             



Egg Yolk


Egg have three sections- the shell, the egg white and the yolk. Yolk (egg yellow) contain vitamin A, D, E and K along with omega-3 fat. Egg yolks also contain more beneficial folate and vitamin B12. The yolks also contain far more of the nutrient choline than the whites, and all of the antioxidants. One egg yolk contains around 55 calories. People who eat eggs for breakfast intake fewer calories throughout the day. 

Prawns


Prawns comes from fresh water and they are good source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and naturally low in low fat. They are also a good source of unsaturated fat. This is because it contains three times of Omega-3 Fatty Acid. Researches shows that foods with high amounts of Omega 3 are very helpful in reducing the risk of heart attack and maintains the blood pressure.


 Nuts 


Nuts are nature's way of showing as that small things comes in small packages full of vitamins, heart healthy fat and protein. But it does not mean that eating nuts will make you put on weight. Therefore its advisable to eat five almond everyday to remain healthy. As I said nuts are full of heart healthy fat so it can be consumed at all age but in small amount as required.
